Hold The Drama Stripes & Spark Tour 10th - 15th June 2024

Hold The Drama tour 10th – 15th June 2024 in partnership with Hold The Drama KS2, KS3, KS4 SEND

Hold the Drama are a collective of 6 classically trained musicians who work together to create inclusive performances that use music to help audiences to make sense of thoughts, feelings and emotions that are not easy to put into words.  The group will be touring their schools' shows Stripes (suitable for KS2 and lower KS3) on the Isle of Wight (all SEND suitable too) in June.  Every show, which tells a story completely non-verbally, leaves space for a Q&A with young people to help draw out emotional learning articulating what they think the plot is and why. Shows can also be tailored to address a particular wellbeing or behaviour need in your setting e.g. bullying, racism, anxiety or mental health concerns.

We are able to subsidise the cost of the performance for up to 11 schools on the island during this week and there will be performances available at the following times (roughly) but we can adjust these to fit your school day and depending on proximity.  If you are able to host another school to watch a performance in your setting please indicate this on the form too.  The performances can be for a class of 30 or up to a whole year group or keystage cohort if the hall space is large enough for the 6 performers and the audience.

We are also looking for a school to host a Saturday morning performance for families to attend from your school community on Saturday 15th June so please let me know if you would be interested in doing this nia.collins@iowmusichub.org Please register your interest quickly using the button below.
