Becoming a Hub Partner

Can you or your organisation contribute to our Music Education Hub’s delivery of the National Plan for Music Education on the Isle of Wight?

The Isle of Wight Music Hub is committed to ensuring that there are high quality musical activities to meet the needs of all children and young people. Through a range of innovative approaches we seek to develop inclusion, partnership and progression for children in schools, the community and beyond. We are delighted to have already worked with 33 schools on the island since January of this year and are keen to continue offering schools, young people and the wider community relevant high quality musical experiences to participate in

Through dynamic partnership collaboration and sharing of expertise and resources, the Isle of Wight Music Hub seeks to provide life changing musical experiences for children and young people. Our aim is to create a lasting legacy of musical engagement, realising an ambitious agenda that maximises audience development and reflects the cultural and artistic diversity of the island.

What partner organisations can expect of from the Music Education Hub

Hub partners will have the opportunity to work together to enhance opportunities for children and young people on the island and we hope this will support and make more visible the opportunities that individual organisations are already providing or wish to provide in the future.

Potential examples of Hub support include:

  • Assisting member organisations with networking and collaboration
  • Providing information and data to assist member organisations with planning to ensure that Music Education Hub aims are met
  • Building fund raising capacity with and for organisations
  • Developing mutually agreed standards for the delivery of music education and potential for the training of music educators
  • Independent quality monitoring and evaluation
  • Commissioning to deliver projects and workshops

Please note that partners do not pay to be part of the Hub and contribute in-kind support.  There is no expectation that Partners will receive direct funding from the Hub, although services may be commissioned if they are required to fulfil the core and extension roles and complement the other services available

What the Music Hub will expect of it’s partners

  • Attend music hub meetings
  • Contribute to strategic planning of the Music Education Hub
  • Promote the music education Hub including an acknowledgement on your organisations website and assisting with dissemination of information
  • Assist with the planning, delivery and monitoring of projects identified in the Music Education Hub business plan

The national plan for Music Education (NPME)
